I've just finished reading this book. It's by the Brazilian author PAULO COELHO. He wrote this book in 1988. The book has alot of deep meanings and explains a greater way to understand life.
The story is about an Andalusian shepherd boy named Santiago who ventures from his homeland in Spain to North Africa in search of a treasure buried in the Pyramids. Along the way he meets a beautiful, young gypsy woman, a man who calls himself a king, and an alchemist, all of whom point Santiago in the direction of his quest.
What I've noticed while reading was the authors keen understanding of the Arabic culture. I've enjoyed reading it.
